Using Photo Printer for Regular Printing

I currently have an Epson R1800 that has served my purposes well as a photographic printer. I also have an all-in-one HP that I have used for general purpose printing. The HP is needs replacing.

Is there any reason why I should not use the R1800 for general purpose printing on bond paper, etc. ? It would be nice to gain a little real estate here in my office.
