OKI has partnered with Anoto to bring users a new solution for instantly transferring handwritten notations onto an electronic document and then save it as a PDF using an OKI color printer or MFP, the Anoto digital pen and Anoto penDocuments Pro software. The solution allows users to print out any PDF, Microsoft Office or Windows-based document with a light dot-pattern background on a variety of media (no special paper required). The dot-pattern background enables the digital pen to register written notations on the paper and save them to memory. When the pen is docked, the information is transferred to the stored electronic document on your PC. The digital pen is used exactly like a normal pen giving users both a hard copy and as many electronic copies as they need. It has a small built-in digital camera that captures the handwritten X, Y coordinates (instead of reading the actual words) along with the date and time, ID of pen and when the document was printed. There is also a built-in microprocessor and memory to hold 40 full pages of text.View the Original article
