TechHive's 2016 cord-cutter awards
Cord cutting—replacing your expensive cable and satellite TV subscription with an over-the-air TV antenna and web-based streaming-video services—accelerated rapidly in 2016. This week's Cord-Cutter Confidential columnist Jared Newman recognizes the best cord-cutting products and services of the year.
Jared also reviewed the new DirecTV Now streaming service that AT&T recently launched. He found plenty of flaws, but lots of potential in the new service. Although AT&T is offering a compelling discount to early adopters, Jared recommends holding out until the company makes some critical improvements to the service.
We have lots more to offer you this week, so please hop over to the site and take a look. We welcome your feedback, too, whether you want to comment on our Facebook page, other social media, or directly to me at mbrown@techhive.com. I won't be able to respond to every comment, but I'd really like to hear how we might serve you better.
In the meantime, Happy New Year!
